Hi there, I’m Musavi and this is my small little world on the interwebs about sharing my journey to fitness. I live in Nairobi and still trying to figure out what I’m doing with my life.
I am committed to getting fit and living a healthy lifestyle without pills, tricks or quick fixes. For me this is a lifestyle, its not just about losing weight, it’s about health and living life to its fullest because we only get one life. The only problem…… I love food. I consider myself a bit of a foodie. I love to cook for the people I love, I love to experiment with new cuisine and I love to eat….
Lets just say my foodiness (If that’s a word) has lead to an ever-expanding waistline. And I am a true believer in the saying “ you can’t outwork a bad diet”. So this is me trying to figure out a balance between my foodiness and my desire to look good naked.
And since I love all you who’ve taken the step to follow this journey, I will share my passion with you. I will make all the recipes you find on this site as I try to make food that is easy, quick, healthy and tasty. No one said losing weight means you have to lose your taste buds as well.
I’ll let you in on a little secret about myself, what has really driven me to trying to lose weight and get fit is because I truly want to run a marathon. I love running and even though I’m not the fastest runner out there, I love the feeling of getting up early in the morning when the rest of the world is asleep and putting on my shoes to hit the road. I’ve already completed a half marathon (2013) and my goal for 2016 is to get to the level of fitness that would allow me to run 42KM and not fall dead after.
